Our Story
Wall décor had never been something that I had paid much attention to, other than perhaps a clock and the odd picture here and there. Then when my daughter started coming home from nursery with her artwork from the day, it was not long before the magnets on our fridge became overwhelmed and the paper would come crashing down each time we closed the door a bit too hard.
The steady stream of artwork kept coming and with the empty walls of our rooms presenting a blank canvas, I thought that this would be the perfect space to display the latest masterpieces and give the fridge door a break. So I started looking for a solution to display lots of pictures, and found that most ready-made offerings were either a traditional looking frame that would display one picture at a time, or wooden boards that while could hold a few pieces at a time were pretty bulky.
What the ready made displays had in common was that they needed hooks on the wall to be hung from. We live in a fairly old house with solid brick walls, and I knew from the clock hanging experience that trying to nail a hook into the wall would end up with bent nails and a load of crumbled plaster. There had to be another way.
This is when the idea of a clothesline style display with cute mini clothes pegs came to mind. As I set about making one, I thought why not make it self adhesive? I could then easily put up several displays in no time without the hassle and mess of drilling holes in the walls. My kids are always excited to see their latest creations go up on display, and it makes me really happy to be able to help other parents and guardians recreate that excitement in their homes around the world.
